Campden Hill Residents Association Summer Party

Campden Hill Square is one of the most glorious places to hold a party, even if the weather is not quite so glorious. An annual event orchestrated by David White and his colleagues, some 60 residents attended the event accompanied throughout the evening with a band playing (with great enthusiasm).  Pupils from Holland Park School were on hand to help with the passing of food, selling raffle tickets and generally engaging themselves with residents. They varied in age but as in previous years it was their maturity, poise and ease at communicating that was so impressive.
In his welcoming speech David introduced Shaun Bailey (Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Youth & Crime) and Lady Victoria Borwick (Deputy Mayor of London); the latter emphasising how important the concept of community was and recognising we were so lucky that Campden had such a strong community spirit.  Despite the weather, a most successful party.
